The Banhoek valley is known for its picturesque views, top wine estates and a variety of restaurants. It also produces a variety of protea flowers and fynbos, as well as fruit and berries for the local and export markets.
Wechmarshof has an abundance of indigenous trees and plants that attract a large variety of birds and wildlife, including Springbuck, Steenbok, Porcupine, Lynx, Mongoose, Cape Genet and other smaller species.
